Overview

The Ethiopian Civil Service College Development Learning Center (ECSC-DLC) was officially established in 2000. The center uses distance learning technologies such as interactive videoconferencing and e-learning technologies to organize and implement various training programs that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the public sector in Ethiopia.

So far the center has been offering a range of different distance learning courses, seminars and dialogues to about 3000 participants through interactive videoconferencing and web technologies.

The establishment of the Development Learning Center demonstrates a great commitment towards building the capacity of public servants in Ethiopia.

Services and Facilities at DLC

• Interactive WoredaNet Videoconferencing Technology: We have Videoconferencing room that accommodates 30 to 40 participants for conducting videoconference lectures, dialogues and panel discussions with regional capitals and Woreda’s in Ethiopia. Short term training programs in Leadership, Strategic Planning & Performance Management, Business Process Re-engineering, Ethics, Benchmarking, Balanced Score Card, Change Management, Project Planning, Implementation & Monitoring, Financial Management, Service Delivery and Policy Formulation & Analysis will be offered to public institutions at federal and regional levels beginning the year 2000 E.C.

A Powerful Tool to the Ethiopian Millennium

During the Ethiopian Millennium, using the technologies in the center, various development groups, Ethiopian Diaspora, and friends of Ethiopia from around the world can disseminate their own programs, conduct discussions and dialogues to their Ethiopian counterparts.
