Background
The Law faculty of the Ethiopian Civil Service College, one of the oldest Faculties in the College, established in 1995 is now renamed (reorganized) as the Institute of Federalism and Legal Studies. Currently it has two departments:
Department of Federalism and Local Government and Department of Legal Studies.
The Institute, as it stands now is, predominantly a post graduate institute specializing in three programs: public Law and good governance, International Law (both LL.Ms) and MA in comparative federalism.
The MA program is open to candidates from the civil service (federal and state Level) with B.A degree from the social sciences. The LL.M Programs are open to those with LL.B degree in Law. Currently there are 138 post graduate students attending in the three programs. Some 79 of them being expected to graduate in August 2009 and February 2010
