Members of the delegation expressed their heartfelt thanks to the college and said they felt at home. They said they consider Ethiopia as their bigger brother. Regarding the cooperation areas, they said they want to emphasize on capacity building of human resources. As their problems in tax and customs are Sevier, they want to exploit the experience and expertise in that area too.
Dr. Samson Kassahun, Vice President for Academic Development, said in order to facilitate our support and collaboration, we need to prepare a concept paper on what to achieve, how to achieve and when to achieve. Based on the concept paper we can develop a project proposal for the institution in Juba on physical facility, manpower and programs designing.
During the discussion the delegates raised some questions on how the Ethiopian government manages the public finance and what means are employed to control it. Dr. Haile Michael explained about the country's public finance management system. And he also asserted that the College contributes for the system by designing programs in public financial management at bachelor and masters level.
The delegates finally commented that they are impressed by the college's overall activities. Specially practice oriented mode of delivery of courses is something worth imitating, they said. Dr.Haile Michael in conclusion said ECSC is ready to assist the Southern Sudan Government in every way possible.
